Does anybody know where I can order a custom vest. I love my Tatr from Cabelas, but I would like to make a few minor changes to it and get a new one made. Is there anyone that does that ? It has more than a few miles on it and I want to be ready to retire/burn it in a fitting manner, lol. Thanks, Al Baker

I am planning on making my own this year, or at least attempt it.

Spurs

I have searched higher and low for that exact thing, but came up empty...not saying it ain't out there, but nothing for that specific task.

I carried mine to a seamstress.  Had her make some minor changes to make that front right pocket to hold my thermacell while it is turned on, removed all adjustment buckles to make them solid/quite, and added a better location for some orange material.

The next thing I'm debating on is laying a strip of neoprene under the straps to make them stick a little better...just gotta find some thin enough or maybe have some of the original padding removed.
This year is going to suck!!!

I don't know of anyone that is building a custom turkey vest from scratch.  I think like Spur if you can find a vest that is close to what you're looking for or it has some of the qualities you want get it. Then take it to someone or modify it yourself from there.

Spurs if you are running a strap vest you could replace the straps with claw slings.  You might look at taking the material from a Mud River kennel crate pad and re purposes that also. Just a thought.

Yes, I just modified my new Badlands Vest. The vest was perfect, except the shoulder straps. I just took 2 camo padded slip on shoulder cushions from shoulder bags that I had. I put them on, they slide right on the straps, done. Perfect padded shoulder straps. The vest is perfect....

I  really like my current vest but, alas, nothing lasts forever. I have a Badlands hunting daypack (deer) that I love...topnotch quality.  If their turkey vest is made in USA I'll buy it. I'm sick and tired of all this red Chinese inferior stuff on the market. Let's face it...all these American companies went to red China because it increases their bottom line...period. You suffer quality as a result.

I get it. That may change now with what happened with Covid, I hope so. Bring all the companies back.......

Cheap labor and no E P A over there . If we do it right we can move our factories back at little cost to the environment . I would pay more American made .

I like the knight and hale RG300 but the seat is a joke I attached a little Klamath backpacking air cushion to it and it drastically improved so I'll look to either make a permanent modification to the seat or try and check out this badlands in person sometime.

Still using a super elite 3 turkey vest. Its held together by hand stitching in a few spots and has been modified some. By the time I get it exactly how I want it it will probably fall apart. My next plan is to remove the front buckles and install buttons. I want a little more snug fit and hate stuff flopping around. I love the vest and wish they still made one with the same quality standards. I bought my boy a super elite 4 and dont like it nearly as well. Material is louder also
