Can anyone  tell me if a Benelli Steady Grip stock off a M2 will fit on a M1?
Also whats your thoughts on the M1?

Thanks~

Greg Massey

The M1 is one of the best Benelli shotguns made. The only problem you can't drill and tap for rail. I have one with both stocks regular and pistol grip in 12 ga.

Why can't an M1 be drilled and tapped?

Most gunsmith's just want drill them. Look it up on the web.  Now if you want to try it , go for it . I've seen guns miss drill on this forum other than Benelli .. I have the speed bead for mine.

There's is absolutely no reason the receiver can not be drilled and tapped. I ordered the mount and I'm getting it done. . Sorry , you have the wrong resource if they are telling you it's not possible . I'm putting a fast fire iii on my m1

I'm sure it's possible , Benelli doesn't recommend having it done.  Speed Bead works great with the fast fire 3 .. Good luck with having your done .
