Mississippi Population Question

Been seeing more in my area than in the last 10 years. Hoping it's coming back around.

Calling on advice for the MS guys. I have been told that De Soto's turkey population has been hit hard and you don't really hear/ get on many birds. I'm just curious is it as bad as it is made out to be. I'm looking into hunting Bienville NF or De Soto NF. All I am asking is which NF has a better hunt able population. Any thoughts will be appreciated.

Don't discount the Noxubee Refuge.

MaCobb, well the draw is out now, was wondering if you got drawn for a WMA hunt. Also, did you only have to buy the $30 wma permit or a full hunting license?

I've got an out of state friend that had a valid WMA permit. I put him in with my draw, and we got it. So he will now have to get a license.

This is the best year I've had for the draw. My Son for youth got three different weekends!

I never entered the draw. I just planned on hunting the Refuges and National Forests
