Burris FF3 Moss 835/336 mount question

Hello everyone. Just finished installing the FF3 on my moss berg 835 using the 336 plate. Bolt holes line up perfectly! One issue or maybe it's not. The sight doesn't mount down flush to the plate. It came with a foam piece to put on the base of you have a FF2 to improve the waterproofness but I have the 3. When locked down on the plate there is a gap all the way with slightly more gap at the barrel end of the sight? This might be normal but I have the tendency to be uncontrollably particular about things. Assuming it was normal I just went ahead and used the foam piece anyway just to fill the gap. Think that is okay? I loctited everything as I know this 835 is an earthquake.

Different mount than yours, but mine has a gap too. Mount is aluminum so there will be some twisting. Locktite everything like you and it was solid last year:

If it's off, in a bad way, when sited in will it matter? I have one good weather day and probably the last for a few months and want to get the 835 sighted in for Coyote hunts.

Go ahead and sight it in. You appear to be fine.

Here is a photo of what's going on. I may pull all apart again and try a few other things...

Can anyone check theirs with the 336 plate???

To me it looks like the mount has a bow in it

It's an illusion. It's true against my straight level.

Looks like the front may be up a little on that too.

With a FF3 definitely don't need any foam in between the sight and base.

The illusion is mine is flush, you are the one asking for help! if you trust your level then shoot it.
