Shelf life of corn

Had a guy give me 4, 5 gallon buckets of shelled corn about 5 years ago. It's all been sealed up in a dry place. So I was wondering if it goes bad after a while or could I still use it in my feeder this summer?

Id imagine weevils have dusted it by now.

I looked at it this weekend and it looks just the same. No bugs or moisture.

I know it doesn't answer your question, but the shelf life at Wal-Mart around here is about a day and a half.
If I'm not back in five minutes, wait longer!

Maybe I could sell it as our Bas Pro parking lot

Keeping weevils out is key. It will look normal but will be dusty or more white than normal, you will really know when you pour it out. Most of the time something will eat it after its been rained on

If it doesn't look or smell bad use it.

Weevils and moisture will both destroy your corn. If you don't have that problem, then it's probably still good. Maybe a little stale, who knows. I've never chomped on hard corn. ;D

It's been sealed up in 5 gallon buckets in my shed. It all looks good.
