I am interested in getting the Walker's game ear or one of the other brands of power muffs.  They would be great for dove, ringneck, grouse or whatever else.  I have a six year old getting ready to hunt soon, and don't want him to end up with the same ringing ears as me.  My question is - Has anyone tried these to listen for gobbles?  Wondering if you can get a good sense of direction with them on.  Thanks.

I've got the Walker's Power Muffs.  They enhance EVERY sound, but there is NO sense of direction with them.  The hearing aid type may be different, but I'm not sure.
A man fires a rifle for many years, and he goes to war. And afterward he turns the rifle in at the armory, and he believes he's finished with the rifle. But no matter what else he might do with his hands, love a woman, build a house, change his son's diaper; his hands remember the rifle.

Second to that responce - Walkers quad game ears supress well, enhance well but directional hearing is poor--

I used the Game ears 2 for about 10yrs and never could determine which direction sounds were coming from. Even tried one in each ear. Got 5 laying around that don't work. Don't use anything anymore.
