Late WI Report from last week

Had a over all good 3rd pd. hunt and made it 13yr in a row of filling my first tag of the year (in WI). Wed was the best day in a long time as fare as gobbling goes...heard them going off all day. At 9am had a tom that was gobbling his head off and worked him in and he got to 25yd but just couldn't get a clear shot at him before he spooked. Did manage to call in some hens and jakes also throughout the day. Thur there was little in gobbling and did call in a few hens. Fri they gobbled on the roost but that was it for gobbling and did see some hens an a few gobblers but nothing that wanted to play. Sat am didn't hear a single gobble and the weather was going to make it a tough day but did manage to get a group of hens and jakes to come in and shot a double bearded jake at 12yds. Will be back at it on 4/4
