BACK IN THE DAY---You were the REMOTE for the TV.  You had 3 channels, that you recieved on an outside antenna or rabbit ears, that you had to adjust to get those channels.  The picture was in black and white.

And God forbid that Walt Disneys Wonderful World of Color (in Black and White) or Flipper would be interupted because the President was on every channel!!!!

back in the day when you got home from work you were dead tired, you did not need to go to the gym to "work out"...you were worn out....

When you picked your switch it better BIG enough 'cause if not it was gonna be a whole lot worse than it should have been. I only made that mistake once!

Yep!  When you got a spanken at school, you got it again when pa got home.  We had a paddle at school they called the board of education.

We even had to cut our own switchs, 2 at a time.

That brought back a cold shiver!

I wish cell phones were never invented. A guy can't get any peace with them around, and if he turns it off or doesnt answer it when it rings people think you have been in a car accident or something. Our country is way to dependant on technology....its pathetic.

didn't read the whole psot, but we had to eat everything on our plate, still do today.  We unplugged everything during thunder storms and sat still at my grandparents house.
