Still using a super elite 3 made by Russel. Have had to make a few repairs and modifications but it is good for a few more years

Closest thing now is that MG nomad vest since they stop making limbhangers, I do like the design a lot, but quality isn't nowhere near a Dixon
but if you can stitch, you can make a few modifications to it to make it a little more rugged.
Still have a Super Elite that was made by Russel that's pretty good quality. but its not my favorite design in a vest

I love my Dixon vest but it does get too hot for mid May. I have 2 older 10x vests I use when the weather warms. I really like a vest but use Glenda Green's satchel when hunting in the rain.

My old original mossy oak strap vests, in both Greenleaf and Full Foliage are bar none, the best vests I've ever hunted. Extremely light and super durable, with just enough room for what I carry. Patch them up from time to time and they are good to go. American made even. I think I gave $30 brand new back in the late 80's for one, and bought the other from a gentleman on here some years back, for not much more.

Would love to see a pic of those bad boys!!!

I'll have to say that ever since I picked up my Tat'R, I've been nothing but pleased.  I put it through the paces last year and I never even saw a single loose thread.  Not too keen on the pocket placement, but overall it is the best vest I've ever owned.
This year is going to suck!!!

I've never owned a Dixon but love my Limbhanger vest.

Please ,someone make a custom vest. There has to be a market for them
live to hunt hunt to live

Not sure the name but one company makes completely custom Upland hunting vests, all made in the USA. If a company duplicated this approach for turkey vests they would have a great market for sure

It's not hard to modify a turkey vest. Find one that fits and is at least decent quality and you can have someone move or add pockets as needed. Not a real custom vest but likely the easiest option. I've had a few customized before I found my current vest.
If you make everything easy how do you know when your good at anything?

For those who want a lighter cooler vest. I have worn liberty vest for years. The only place I found one recently was Sportsman's Warehouse. They don't have a ton of pockets, but they are light and have a light cushion. They have an inner zippered pocket on each side that are pretty big.

The MO Russell super elite 3 has been with me chasing birds for over 10-11 years I believe and will continue to go with me , found a deal on this Ol Tom ibeam 2.0 after much much research the way this is set up should also work for me in design and quality. It will have it's debut  this spring. But opening day I'm sticking with my Ol vest. I guess you could say it has quite a sentimental value to me LOL , has held up well and I'm trying to save it so my daughter can one day wear it with me in the woods for her first hunts.
