Trigger stick tripod for camera???

Curious for the video guys on some input here.  I walk more than most IMO and consider myself a mobile hunter, but I am thinking about recording some hunts solo and filming some friends.  Has anyone used the trigger stick tripod?  Seems like it would be much quicker to setup and quieter.

I watched a guy the other day using one with a DSLR and it seemed to work pretty good.  Was going to see if anyone could give some pros/cons or maybe some suggestions.

Idk if there would be any cons besides they are a little heavier than a normal basic Tripod.

The new one comes with a camera mount.  I'm sure something could be done as far as a quick mount.

Just YouTubed the product video. You can detach the gun holder and put on a camera base that screws into the bottom like a release plate does. I think it would work wonders honestly for quicker setup.

I have one. I have the camera plate attached to my chronograph. Flip a quick release lever, it comes off and in seconds the gun mount goes on, or pack up and move. It would work great for filming.

I am guessing you mean the Primos Trigger Stick? If so when I was still walking with a cane I had looked at using one of these and they had a warning on them about not being able to be used as a walking cane, something to do with the weight so you may want to take the weight of your camera into consideration and test at home to make sure it can reliably handle the weight in different conditions, dry, wet, angle and pitch of the legs and how the angle and pitch of the legs handle the weight again both dry and wet. I would hate to see anybody lose any expensive gear.

It'll work good for videoing hunts. Will it work as good as a $250+ tripod with a fluid head? No but it should work just fine you. Ive used just a cheap tripod that i camo taped for years and it works fine. The only thing i wish it had is a quality fluid head for "smoother movement" of the camera. And naturally they aren't going to recommend you to use a shooting rest designed to hold a 10 pound gun as a walking stick to support a person. One more thing, a pistol grip or shurshot stock makes things alot easier for self filming, you can comfortably control your gun with 1 hand and the camera with the other.

It needs a fluid head for smooth panning. I would stick to tripods made for video cameras..something from Manfrotto.
