Don't plant myself but give my landlords kids some money to plant as they let me hunt their land. They are really into the clover it seems. I would like to see them test the ground but they don't seem to be interested in doing that at all, I have even offered to foot the bill for that and they are just not interested.

I usually plant fall plots in late august. Heres one i planted oats, turnips, and red/white clover mix last fall. This is the clover this spring. I start discing every couple weeks in july and it knocks the weeds back enough i dont have to spray.

My uncle (his property where my plots are) got out to hang 2 extra cams I gave him last week and said he couldn't believe in the 95 degree heat there were deer in the middle of the day out in the plot and wouldn't leave.
Have more plots to go in the fall, trying to make sure I keep something out there for them as much of the year as possible, I think long term that will be best for the turkey and deer.

Mine is starting to take off. Haven't seen any deer or turkey sign in it. I guess theres still a lot of green vegetation for them to mill on..I'm starting to see weeds pop up of course. What do you guys spray them with? I probably need to spray soon.
