The Statdot claim to fame is for the 835. That said I have them for a few guns and they are good in all but not like the 835. That said I have better performers for all guns.

Best I have found in my Browning Gold for lead loads.

Tried a Jellyhead, Jellyhead Max, 2 Colonials, SSX and a Hastings .685.

Hastings was second best.

Also shot one in an 870 probably 20 years ago. Shot 1 7/8 oz. #4s very well.

I have a couple threads down in the Browning pattern pics forum.

I had one years ago for an 835, the factory ulti full was better but they have a great reputation!

For over bored guns they're tops.  For everything else, just so so...
Big Al's "Take-em" Style Silhouette decoys Pro-Staff.

Of all the things I've lost, I miss my mind te most.

Was a great choke in the two super x 2's I had Federal 3 1/2" 4's.
Outperformed 4 mossyburgs 2 835's and 2 935's with same choke.
By a dozen or so in a the  10" anyway lol

I've probably tried about 20-25 different chokes in my 21" 12ga 870 in the past 25+ years and the Star Dot is still here. It LOVES #5 shot and throws #6 as good as any I've tried. It and a Remington factory super full turkey are the only chokes I have for that gun now.  After years of experimenting with chokes and ammo they're all it will ever need.
