I went out to pattern my 870 today.  When I was finished I put a few rounds of Pheasant shot though it and it was also throwing a nice pattern. Has anyone used pheasant shot on turkeys?

Marc

Pheasant shot varies depending on who you talk to...

I use (or used when lead was still legal) called Fiocchi Golden Pheasant...  These are nickle-plated #6's, #5's, or #4's...  They come in 2 3/4" or 3" loads in both 12 ga., and 20 ga...  When I shot lead at turkeys it was these loads.  They pattern very well in both the 20 ga. and 12 ga.

Currently in California it is a non-issue as we can no longer shoot lead at most game (including turkey or pheasant).

Did I do that?

Fly fishermen are born honest, but they get over it.

I've not personally but, I know a guy who has and it shoots good. I've heard the Rem. and Federal Prairie Storm work really good.

Know quite a few who use Prairie Storm and works great and 25 shells for $20...

A good pattern is a good pattern, regardless of the labeling on the box.  I would hunt with a good patterning pheasant load any day.  In fact, I hear the Rooster XRs are fantastic in 2 3/4" guns.
