Im looking at this type as I do alot of walking and I prefer a more open style vest and the pocket system looked right on..
Of course I'm going with Bottomland....everything bottomland!!

I bought one, and love it. It is like the old bucklick creek style vests with the built in seat. Seems to be quality made with reinforced stitching on the stressed areas of the seat (where the Primos and BPS ones tear). Pocket layout and zippers are well thought out and nice. My only complaint is there is not enough bulk storage areas. I don't have room for my water bottle, pruners, binoculars, ect. I haven't quite figured out if I'm going to just lighten the load or attempt to add pockets or what.

Looks good for a very minimalist set up, primos is awesome layout but junk stitching.

Thought about getting one even though I have 2 vests.

Now I just saw the one( Alps Grand Slam) with the removable back rest and it seems to have more pockets and inside pockets and the cushion is thicker.
I usually carry a small chair with me these days as the old lower back gets cramped waiting on a bird..This vest might be just what I need..I like thats its removeable if i need to lighten it up...just the price...ouch...but hey thats what we go to work for.

Here's my experience with kickstand style vests, they are heavier more rigid and uncomfortable. They can even be noisy if brush hits the metal frame walking through the woods. Uneven ground requires you to fiddle with adjustments. The camp chair style from the impact and primos is extremely light, silent, and fool proof fast for having a built in back supported seat. As you lean back the front rocks up which lifts and cradles you partially off the ground and supports the legs mid thigh resulting in far less "fall asleep legs". Makes for more comfortable then a tree rest n seat cushion or kickstand cushion to me, not the level of turkey chair but obviously much lighter.

I carried the same style chair called a crazy creek out west for glassing for elk.

I wish it had a bladder compartment. I saw the decoy stake bag on the back. Would it be big enough to hold a water bladder? I might need to find a way to hold it up to keep it from collapsing.

I called Alps, they told me the pocket would hold a 3L bladder. I'm considering this vest strongly. It seems to be lightweight and breathable and would hold everything I would ever take to the woods.
