Tough going haven't seen any long beards. Have had them coming gobbling but then they just quit and never show up. Don't know if other hunters are spooking them or what seems like everytime I get a bird fired up I soon start to hear other hunters.

So far only laid eyes on hens and several jakes.

Hang in there man! It will come together for you.

The weather up here mess with me. So far it is raining and 40 degrees for a high they are calling for 8 to 12 inches of snow in northern iowa.

It'll turn around bud, It's probably just some hens leading them off along with the other hunters. Eventually they'll both go away.

If it eats I can catch it, if it bleeds I can kill it.

Keep on them birds and something will change. I hunted an area last week that I swear didn't have any birds, no gobbling, no birds seen, weather was bad, high winds, snow etc.................... then a little change in the weather happenened overnite and everything fell into place.

Good luck

From zero to hero in about 15 mins.  I always keep this in mind when the days are long and the birds seem to have disappeared.  :anim_25:
Turkeys are as smart as hunters make em and public land offers more classes.
George Washington didn't use his freedom of speech to defeat the British, he shot them.
