After seeing so many of these so called dymondwood strikers , and so many with different looks and grains
I started asking around as even some of the big mass produce outfits list strikers as dymondwood, I got some and in my opinion , they don't look like anything that came out of the dymondwood factory that burnt

Is it just me , or would that be like false advertising,  some just look like lamented wood from Home Depot ,

Was talking with one builder of calls and strikers and he said very few people selling the real dymondwood strikers

As a call builder, it is very hard to come by the true stuff. It is few and far between now. The recipe of the true dymondwood has started being processed by another plant but is very expensive and they do not have it down pat yet. I THINK ruttland sold the recipe, but im not 100 percent on that...  The stuff they have been producing has been VERY close to the original. However, there is a lot of stuff that is called dymondwood that is fake. Im not sure where they are making those pegs but it is not nearly the same.. Just what I know and things could have changed since the last time I got info on this....

One of my personal current interests is nest predators and how a majority of hunters, where legal bait to the extent of chumming coons.  However once they get the predators concentrated they don't control them.
