Made my own and  not a problem for better than 20 years. I modified a Lo Boy Lite Turkey Seat from NWTF store ( this was a while ago) and a HS seat. I took the HS chair apart to make a backrest. Is very comfortable and light weight (just under 3.5lbs) chair has an angle built into it and works even sitting on a hillside.

Looks good! How about a close up of how you attached the backrest?

I ended up using 550 Paracord, a series of "knots" I know that cinch down tight. This acts as your hinge and allows to fold flat. I turned the backrest so I had the"long" length up to give me a better backrest.

Don't you all feel you sit too high in a chair?

Don't you all feel you sit too high in a chair?

It's only a couple inches difference compared to a cushion. You still sit with knees bent.

squidd

Have the same Browning chair and has extended my sitting time.

Still have a tree or palmettos as a backdrop and use a few palm fronds to close in the sides/front.

Have never felt like I was sitting too high.

Cut N Run

I got a Mac Sports Folding Turkey Chair from Ace Hardware last year when I was disappointed by the changes Cabela's made in their turkey chair. http://www.acehardware.com/product/index.jsp?productId=24613806

I had it shipped to the nearest ACE store, so I didn't have to pay shipping.  It is the same as the old Cabela's Gobbler Lounger if that's what you're looking for.

Luck counts, good or bad.

Lazy coyote

I use the Cabela's speed yote predator vest for turkey hunting.  It's a turkey vest with a seat and back support built-in.    Can't recommend it enough
