That's a great problem to have. You've been given some sound advice, hunting late and busting them up. I used to have a lot of birds in the places I hunt but not anymore. You can also use gobbler fights to move a big flock your way. I'm in SEMO, be happy to thin them down for you ;D

I'd swap shunt for a deer hunt somewhere lol

We seem to have that when we are at the early cycle of our seasons start date, but we are dealing with winter flocks. As the season progresses birds break down to smaller groups. I had a Learn to Hunt we were on and "called in" 18+ Gobblers 30-40 hens and maybe 20 jakes and couldn't get a clean shot... we watched them all leave. Now when I was scouting this flock I learned which way they headed every morning and we got in front of their travel route, I had LTH student in a blind as we watched all the birds pass through, we were back out after lunch and ended up scoring on a longbeard.

Sounds like the title should be "Too Many HENS". I think we have all experienced that problem before..

I'm not sure what too many turkeys even looks like.  I've never seen such thing around here.   That's a nice problem to have.  Enjoy it while you can.  Good luck & have fun.

Go somewhere and take your time eating a nice breakfast.  Then go back and kill a longbeard later in the morning.

As the season goes on, I'd imagine you'll see a change up in the groups as well.

Agree. Give it ago at about 10:30/11 when the hens go sit and leave gobblers alone

guesswho

Get the N"WTF" to extend the Osceola line to include that area.  Problem Solved.
If I'm not back in five minutes, wait longer!

I would bust those turkeys of the roost either at night or
in the morning. Then, I would use a Kee Kee,
Kee Kee Run and Hen Yelping to kill your Turkey.

Believe me it works!   You need to be patient!
Good Luck!
