Anyone have any experience shooting mag-blends in a 870 with a 21" barrel and if so what choke are you using.

Tailwalk

Not blends but the hevi shot #7 with an IC .555 we're throwing killer patterns for me last week

They shoot almost as good as the straight 6s in mine.
Big Al's "Take-em" Style Silhouette decoys Pro-Staff.

Of all the things I've lost, I miss my mind te most.

I'm interested in this also, Or what your using for choke's and H-13 loads?  I need an alternative load when my supply of Fed. HW #7's run out.

My wife shoots 870 21" 3" magblends with rhino .660 and average 220-250 in 10" circle.

I run Hevi 6's when not using TSS in my 21" 870 20 gauge with a Sumtoy 562.

I average a little over 120 at 40.

Solid killer.

I'm shooting 21 inch with Federal HW 7 with Trulock 565 and it's a turkey killing machine...

I tested the Mag Blends with this gun using a Primos Jellyhead and got 115+/- in a 10" circle at 40 yds.  For comparison I was getting 130+/- with Fed. Heavyweight #7s.  I'm hunting the HW7s, but when I run out, I'll probably shoot the mag blends with no hesitation.  Then when those run out in about 2025, I'll switch to TSS...... ;D ;D

I have a 11-87 21" that throws a solid 100 in 10" @ 40 with an old Remington Hevi shot choke.
The addiction will cost you time and money and alienate those close to you. I can give you the names of a dozen addicts — myself included — whose wives begin to get their hackles up a week before turkey season starts and stay mad until a week after it closes.
