Tennessee Outfitter Recommendations

Having a hard time finding Turkey Outfitters / Guides in TN.  Does anyone know someone?

There is not a lot of those in the state.  What area are you looking to hunt and what type of hunt are you looking for?

I hunted about an hour east of Nashville several years ago. Did a lot of knocking and talking resulting in a bunch  of ground to hunt. As long as I was not after deer the land owners did not care. I did well and have plans to go back this spring.

For the last five years my son and I would take our fur money from weekend trapping and take a week of holidays and drive to Ky from Ontario to hunt turkey and get away from the snow. This year he is junior high and he can't take a full week off for turkey hunting (mom rules!) but we noticed that the TN season opens March 31 which is Easter weekend and he has 4 days off.  Mom said he could take one day off from school so we have 5 days total.  2 days of travel and 3 days to hunt.  In the past we have done semi-guided hunts.  As long as there are birds we don't need fancy. Would prefer not to be in the mountains.

Having lived nine + years in KY near the TN border can't believe there aren't plenty of outfitters around someplace.  Ask someone that is going to the upcoming NWTF convention in Nashville to ask around for you. Good luck.  Just curious - where did you hunt in KY?

Buck Country Outfitters in Caneyville is where we hunted.  It was a semi guided hunt and we were always successful.  Very nice people and I would recommend them.  We would have gone back but the hunt dates work out better for us in TN this year - and we will see new country.
