:TrainWreck1: I am only looking at pb at the moment looking at fiocchi golden pheasant 6 remington premier 6 and winchester 6 shot high speed. this will be shot out of a poly choke  :z-winnersmiley: with .30 thousands constriction if that is important :z-guntootsmiley: fiocchi has killed lots of pheasants this year :you_rock:

When I was shooting lead only, I used Winchester 100% of the time with good results.

I haven't yet made the switch to HTL loads but 3" Federal Mag-Shok #5's have done pretty good for me. I don't get the numbers that most people on old gobbler do but it is good out to 35 yards. About 100 in a 10" circle at 35 yards.

Luke, FWIW, the three BEST patterning 20ga Pb turkey loads I've ever patterned are............
• Federal® Flitecontrol® Mag-Shok® 3" Mag 1185fps 1 5/16oz #5 (PFC258 5)
• Remington® Nitro-Turkey® 3" Mag 1185fps 1¼oz #5 (NT20M5)
• Winchester® Supreme® High Velocity 3" Mag 1200fps 1 5/16oz #4 (STH2034)

The absolute WORST patterning turkey load I've ever used is...........
• Remington® Premier® Magnum 3" Mag 1185fps 1¼oz #6 (P20XHHM6)

These loads were shot through three separate 20ga guns (Mossberg®, NEF®, and Remington®), and 10 different choke combinations. (Mossberg®, Swarm™, Carlsons®, and Hastings®.)

Dont waste your money on Golden Pheasant. If you were close by I would give you box. Worst pattern I have ever seen.

Just shows you how each gun is different.I get great patterns with the Rem premier #6 loads outta my 870 with a jellyhead choke. Also get good patterns with the Winchesters.id say the Wins would be a good place to start as they do seem to shoot well in  most setups

Winchester size 5 lead loads patterned the best in every 20 gauge I've owned.  Federal, Remington, not so much.

I would just avoid allot of money and time and go straight to the Hevi 13 7's.

That's about the best thing to do.
