Gun Patterning Low and Scope Suggestions

Hey all, recently this year I patterned my gun at 40 yards and the pattern was about 1.5 to 2ft low. Using the same gun (stoeger m300 with factory xfull choke) and ammo (remington nitro turkey) last year I had a very good pattern POA POI at 40 using my front fiber optic bead. Like I said this year was a different story. Any idea why this might happen or how to fix it? I did use the gun and shoot it alot for small game, clays, ducks, and geese. But I don't know how that would affect it..

So yesterday I went out, had a long beard come in range, I compensated a little to try to move the pattern up, he was at 35 yards and I killed him but most of the shot was in the chest with some breast damage. It ended up bein g n my biggest bird with a 9" beard and 1 1/8" spurs.

If your wanting a scope look at the Simmons pro diamond....good scope for the money...

The Bushnell TRS 25 is a nice red-dot type scope with 11 brightness settings. I've used it for years on my Remington 870 3" 12 gauge and it's held up well plus eliminates sighting adjustments after zeroed in.

Any good red dot or scope will fix your issues.
Vortex Venom, Burris FastFires, etc., or any low power scope would work well.

I've used the Simmons pro diamond for years and ain't had any issues with them. Great scope if you get one try to find the older ones that where made in the Philippines.

I don't know about stoeger but Beneli and Beretta have different shims you can put in the stock to change the pitch

That far off I would look into issues with gun and choke first!!! Also different loads

Did you change anything, ie. choke, ammo? Any damage as in dropping, etc.?
For the POI to change for no reason doesn't make sense.
I can't imagine the gun would function if not assembled correctly but is everything fit together snugly?
There's some reason for the change in POI and a sight isn't going to solve that issue. You need to identify what changed before you can move on to adjusting the POA and POI.

x2 That's where I would start...Imo optics are to help me aim correctly for a clean kill not to fix a gun that won't shoot straight. I can live with correcting a few inches one way or the other, but that's it for me. That gun wouldn't have been hunting with me until I got the issues at hand taken care of first.
