Killed a jake my first season I hunted turkey. The third season ever in Ontario. Went to a public land spot where I had seen turkeys the year before while trout fishing.
Pulled into the parking lot just before first light , slammed the car door and one gobbled 80 yards from the lot . Shot the jake about 20 mins later.
Killed at least one every year since.
