With all the materials available to make pot calls out of ,I was wondering what product is commonly used for each call ? I use a scotch pad to scuff up my slates ,aluminum ,and copper. Fine grit Emory cloth for my glass. I have seen some stone types but never got a good  feeling using these.

Stones are used for glass and crystal. Copper and aluminum like scotchbrite. Scotchbrite good for slate also. The aluminums and coppers like 91% alcohol (NOT RUBBING ALCOHOL) every so often to take off oxidation. Wallboard screens are good for glass and crystal also...
Hope that helps...

I like green Scotchbrite on slate, maroon on aluminum, and 100-120 grit Emery cloth on glass/crystal.  A lot of it is personal preference.  Now I'd not used coarse emery on a slate.
Nothing like seeing a kids eyes light up upon hearing that first gobble.
