Has Hevishot gotten better?

I haven't tried Hevishot for many years, back when Remington made it.
It undoubtedly hit hard back then, but I could never find a choke tube that patterned well.
One day I decided to see how it was constructed, and I took one apart.  That showed me why it seemed to spread out so much.  There was NO round shot.  There was comma shaped shot, teardrop shaped shot, flattened shot, etc.  It's no wonder so many decided to go their own way.
I'm just wondering if they've perfected the shot making process to the point where it's round now?

Nope. It's still not round. Just cut a magblend open last week. Most was not perfectly round. Looks kinda like slag in there...

Makes you wonder what it does to your barrel/choke over time.

Best stuff I've ever used...

If it spreads out, it's the choke & gun's fault...

The slag snowmen shouldn't work, but they do, for me at least...

The gun and barrel are in great shape, and I put it through a whole bag of choke tubes.  I've spent way more money that I should have through the years looking for the perfect choke/shell combo.  I try each new load I think about through every choke I've got to see how it works.  None of them worked well with Hevishot.  I'm not saying they didn't put shot on target, it's just that they put shot everywhere.  You really shouldn't have 20 inch flyers at 30 yards, and there were always a bunch.  I hate picking metal out of meat.

I would like to find TSS that is shapen like HeviShot. Those misshapen pellets are doing more damage than a round pellet.

Still not round but that is a good thing in my eyes. The HeviShot Hevi13 #7s are the best over the counter shell I ever patterned, not counting Nitro Company shells.
