This call has a poplar box with a shedua lid. These calls are the easiest and best sounding gobble calls I've seen. I hunted with this one 2-3 times, but it doesn't fit in any of my vest pockets so I'm letting it go. The call was made in 2012 where i bought it at NWTF convention. SS quit making these calls for several years , but have released them again. Im sure the new version sounds just as good, but the new ones have a more economical lid that has eyelets to hold the rubber bands on.
This call is not meant to produce any turkey sound other than a gobble.
