New to trumpets

Hey guys I'm not totally unfamiliar w suction yelpers but I'm still new at it if that makes sense. I can run a cane call or wingbone but found trumpets in consistant. Davisd9 very graciously sent me an instructional video he made that absolutely helped. I'm very thankful for that n to be honest in a day of practicing his way I'm feeling I've gotten decent progress. My question is I understand yelping, clucking n kee kees but I've heard purring is very hard. Even so does anyone know how or what the procedure is so I can try?

Best person I have ever heard purr on a trumpet is John Dangerfield. He tried teaching me at Unicoi. It was very difficult and not sure how to explain it.

He said he figured it out by accident, took him a few years to do it consistently, then a year of practice before he would hunt with it.

Hopefully someone can come along and explain it to you, but it is not easy and some can probably do it much easier than others.

Thanks Don, took me over a year to learn to feed chuckle on a duck call, years before I really felt decent on a diaphragm so long time practice isn't against my norm. The fact it's hard makes me prob more determined to get it.
