Stoeger m3500?

Looking into the bottom land 26" stoeger m3500. Would like to use the longboards. Anyone got this gun? If so what are yalls choke and shell combo? Thanks

650 if you go 6's or 7's   If you going 4's or 5's I would go with the 660 to 665

I have hunted with the 26" Stoeger m3500 for about 5 seasons and the older Primos JH .660 and LBXR 3.5" 2oz #5 is unbelievable out of my gun. I don't fool with the 10" circle stuff. I just know its nasty.

I never shot the LB from the 3500 I had but I used a sumtoy 650 and a hevi 656 and magblends and it was fantastic!

Very good gun for the money.  Shoots Longbeards and Hevi Shot very well...I use a .655 Primos Jellyhead or a Jeb's (.650?).   Trigger pull is very heavy maybe 8lbs.  Mine has been very reliable, my back up gun now to an SBE.

That's a very nice gun and there are a variety of chokes that will work well with it and the WLB shells. That barrel length is also just about perfect and should make you an excellent turkey gun for the woods and fields.

I would be certain to clean it thoroughly before taking it to the range for patterning. The inertia system is not subject to fouling like a conventional gas system but it is important to make sure it's cleaned. I'd also pay special attention to the manual about lubrication. I would of course recommend that you "deep clean" the bore http://allaboutshooting.com/blogs/blog/98772615-deep-cleaning-a-shotgun-barrel With that done you'll be ready to try out your new gun.

Before investing in a new choke, you may want to try the XFT choke that comes with that gun. It may be all that you need.
