Got this gun for ducks and turkeys. I have the Carlson's Blackout choke from bass pro. Anyone had success with this combo yet? Gonna post pattern pics soon with Winchester Longbeards.

My cousin has got one in shadow grass blades... great gun. Think he has a patternmaster choke in it but it is a killing machine! Sure you will love it!

That's a fine gun. I look forward to hearing about your results.

Thanks,
Clark

I have a Maxus that I really like.  I've been using an Indian Creek choke tube but switching to a Carlsons this spring.  The Indian Creek shoots tighter patterns but the Carlsons seems to shoot a more even pattern, and plenty tight at 40 yards. ( I shoot 3" blends)
The Maxus shoots where I point it without rifle sights.  Something that I've had trouble finding. Over the last several years I've shot an 870, a BPS and a Super X2 all of which shot patterns in one direction or another for me. The Winchester was BAD low and left.  Killed turkeys with each but had to put sights on the guns.
I can look right down the Maxus rib and hit where I'm pointing....I have missed with it, but no fault of the shotgun.

Thanks I'll be posting pattern pics pretty soon. I think itll be a workhorse. longer barrel isnt an issue bc gun is so light and even balanced.
