What is the intended use for the pocket with the grommet in the middle of it, next to the zippered pot call pocket?

Does either style of vest have cinch straps attached to the sides of the seat that attach back to the sides of the vest at an angle?

I recently picked one up on eBay that was designed around these two vests, and I cant figure out what these two things are for.  I think the cinch straps are intended to act like a self supporting seat/backrest.  If that's the case I am cutting them off b/c they seem to be essentially useless.  Other than that the vest is awesome and very well made.

a scuff pad goes in the vest behind the grommet. Used to clean and sand the working tip of your pot call strikers.

I believe those cinch straps allow you some room to get your harvested turkey or whatever into the game bag, then you can cinch it in tight with the straps, securing the load. I slide a chair in between my vest seat, and game bag, and use these straps to cinch it tight.

Awesome thank you!  The straps will stay.  I take a strut seat with me from time to time, so those straps will come in handy.

I use the cinch straps by wrapping them around my roll up blind a couple times on each side and buckling them back together. The blind sticks out a little on each side but makes it easy to carry.
