I actually find it interesting how much i have no desire to hunt turkeys with the bow when I am all about archery hunting whitetails.. I guess if they made a separate archery season in the states I'd hunt I would be out there but they style that is mostly used to hunt turkeys with a bow doesn't suite me. I really don't like blinds and waiting games when it comes to turkey

This exactly. ^^

I have done it a handful of times in the past but don't care to ever do it again. It just doesn't fit for me. My only suggestion, please please please be confident in your equipment. No worse feeling that watching a wounded longbeard take to the air which they can do even if mortally hit. I'd highly suggest some of the adder points to prevent the arrow from passing through. Keep that shaft inside them to help prevent them taking to the air.

y'all know you can sit on the ground without a blind and call one in with a bow too...it's a little tougher but yes taking a good shot is the toughest part, easy to wound one.

I have considered it before. Never tried it though.  I have enough fun thumping them with a shotgun. I am not a blind/decoy spread guy either but it definitely would be an interesting challenge.

What's your opinion on best broadhead for head shots? Any tips on using them?

Magnus bullhead is one of the more popular. There are several "decap" style broadheads out there.

As far as using them? Aim for the head! Lol. I would aim for the bottom of the neck. Most of these have a 3+ inch cut. So even if you're a little off you've got a good chance of just lopping the whole head off.
