Youth season started on March 8 and didn't know if we had any OG reports of gobbling on the limb?

Saturday is 100% chance of thunderstorms so it'll likely be a washout for the kids.

What y'all hearing?  :OGturkeyhead:

Gobbled pretty good on the limb this morning, nothing on the ground. Lots of hens roosting close to them.

Thanks. Was this in north, central, or south MS? I know things crank up at different times depending on where. In north MS we are always later than our more southern brethren.

Heard 4 gobbles this morn in north MS. Two at my hoots, two on his own, 1 was from the ground.

I'll be out tomorrow SW MS. Rain or shine we will try.

This was SE Mississippi. Will have the youth ready for action in the morning.

They have been sounding off in central MS for a couple of weeks already.

Gobbling on the limb pretty good in Noxubee county. Gobbled on the ground up into the morning last saturday. Was last time I went and listened.

Gobblestik

Went to check a spot last sunday just north of Sardis and heard one gobble good on the limb. He gobbled probably 10-12 times before we had to leave. Hope he's on the same limb next week!

No gobbles from roost,  but got one to shock gobble 3 times on ground this AM.

Was that one gobble on three separate attempts or a triple gobble on one attempt.  How you been.  Boy, Mississippi turkeys are in a serious slump aren't they.

Took my son out this morning. Heard one bird gobble about 7 or 8 times from the roost and once on the ground. This was in North MS

Three separate gobbles. Allowed me to get closer and really hone in on him. Been doing well, ecstatic to have turkey to hunt just 15 minutes away now. Gonna have to pace myself.  ;D

Yesterday morn, just one gobble. Once again, a shock gobble on the ground. No roost gobbling. Got word of a few longbeards spotted yesterday, bout to head out and see if they open their mouths this morn...Conditions aren't the best but gotta learn this new ground..
