Cape cod Massachusetts duck hunt

Wife and I are going to Cape Cod Massachusetts to sea duck hunt in late December. We have a guide booked to hunt sea ducks for 3 days. We have some extra time off work and are thinking about leaving early to try to hunt puddle ducks on public before meeting the guide for sea ducks. We would love to get on some black ducks. Anyone on here have any tips for hunting on cape cod. Thanks
