MISSISSIPPI Double beard

I missed out on getting a alligator tag for Ms. I typed in one wrong number and that was all she wrote! My brother did get a tag though. He said I could go with him.

I don't quite get it. How does it work? I'm from southern NY (NYC) :-)

They went on sale at 9am this morning. Online first come first serve. You need to be quick and have all your info ready. I made an error and it was ball game for me. You do not get the permit until payment is made. I didn't get to the payment part. My brother has drawn for the last 3 years. I'm a newbie to the process.

noisy box call that seems to sound like a flock of juvenile hens pecking their way through a wheat field

We used to bowfish them in South GA. Finish em off with a .22 mag.  Each county has so many tags and it's a draw to see if you win it.  It can take three or four years to get one.  That same .22 mag killed over dozen wild hogs in a short period also.  Shoot the gators in the top of the head and shoot the pigs right in the ear hole.  Happy times.  Sorry you didn't get your tag but at least you can "tag" along.

Here you have to catch them with a rod and reel then get a noose over the mouth. Then you can finish them off with a gun or bow.

It's a heck of a lot of fun until you kill one of the nasty things. From the second after you pull the trigger until the last chunk of meat goes in the freezer is nothing but pure work.   I'm a slow learner so it took a second gator for me to realize this wasn't the hobby for me.
