Day Spa for the "ladies"

While I haven't seen many gobblers this year, I have had several hens visit the yard every evening and were intent on digging up one of my Cedar trees dusting under it so I dug up some landscape blocks and built a "Day Spa" for the hens.

Seems that they are liking it.

I even put up a new turkey blind.  The "Day Spa" is directly behind the hammock under the Cedar tree.

I can't believe those hens are not getting bred and have nests near by.

Rickey, I haven't heard a gobble within a mile.  But like you,  they must have a nest up in the thicket behind the house.  They would often roost within 100 yards of the porch.  I've sat out there many nights until dark and hunted a few days behind the house and have heard nothing.  I hunted the roost one morning and they didn't come off the roost till I busted them at 9:30 am.
It was also a warm clear morning.  Never seen anything like it.

There may not be any gobblers in the area. I would have thought the hens would have left and found one if none were there though.

That's what I thought but maybe the neighbors got the Gobbler early.  Don't seem to be any jakes or subordinate gobblers to take over though.
