I am partial to Kenny Morgan's books both for the insight and because of my close relationship with him. That being said, one can not go wrong with E.A. McIlhenny's book from the field notes of Charles L. Jordan, "The Wild Turkey and Its Hunting". I first read Kenny Morgan's copy in the mid-70s on his reccomendation and it has been an annual read ever since. Skip the chapters on the turkey prehistoric and historic. Tom Kelly says you should be severely punished if you don' have a copy and BELIEVE and practice pages 188-212. Kelly refers to Jordan as "Saint Charles of Jordan". The book is free for download to your computer at Google Books.
