Long beard magnum

Shot a bird yesterday with the 3 1 / 2 1200 fps 5's. Had 2 of the magnums in the magazine, when I unloaded one the shells had the plastic disc completely gone in the end exposing the shot enclosed in resin. The other one the disc was partially broken and when I flipped with my fingernail it popped loose. Im assuming this happened under the recoil of the shot. Never heard of this before.Been shooting Long beards since they came out. Gunna call Winchester and see what they say.

Just got off the phone with a real nice lady from Winchester. They are sending me a return label so they can get the shells back for inspection and testing. Also are sending me a check for the shells. Im hoping this is not a ongoing problem. I love these shells.

Yep , but also this started last year too.
Most just put one in the chamber and pattern. 
It shows up when hunting with hunting them shells in the magazine.
Some i bought when they first come out, you can push on with light fingertip pressure and POP it is broke.
Can jam up guns.

Yea,gunna check the magazine tube and then pull the trigger group and look for those crimp segments from the plastic disc. I will say that I was shooting a A300 extrema which has to be one of the lightest 3 1/2 guns at 7.4 pds which is what my 391 3" gun weighs. Must generate a lot of recoil.Might have to just use a long beard in the chamber other shells in the magazine for backup. Not a ideal setup.

Had same issue last year n Winchester handled it the same
