Well things with work are looking up now it just got better.  I called a land owner about hunting and he said no, but before he hung up I told him it was for a youth hunt.  He said well that is cool but where you want to go is not the spot.  You want to go on the other end of the land near the corn field because that is where they go every morning.  I heard them in the trees last week but after sunrise they shut up and I did not see where they went.  Well now I do.  So I have one day to hunt this spot and one night to scout it.  I am going there Friday night to scout and then hunt it Saturday morning.   :z-guntootsmiley:

That is a good deal, you never know.  After you do him right on the youth hunt and sweet talk him, he may just let you take one as well.

Good luck on the youth hunt they are always a ball to guide

That's great news.  Hopefully the turks will be doing the same thing when youth season comes in.   :anim_25:

He said his step son runs the land and would never let anyone hunt it but for a kid, I have permission and if there is any trouble to call him.  He said there was some standing corn and that is where the birds have been all year.  I just talked to the kids mom and it is a go for Saturday.  She said he has been talking about it for two nights straight.  I am a little worried about scouting it Friday night and setting up a blind.  I hope I don't get busted by the birds.
