I have been a big fan of the Natural Gear camo line, and was looking at their turkey vest.  Looks nice, and if it's like their other products should be well made (wish it was US made though).

Anyone have one, or have any insight?  Here is a link to it: http://www.midwayusa.com/viewProduct/?productNumber=335748&cm_cat=CheckoutConfirm&cm_pla=ProductDescrip

I've never used one, but here is my take on the photo:

Seat looks thick. (thats good)

I'm not sure about the two big pockets on the front.  I prefer them more "compartmentalized"  (is that a word?).

The mesh on the front is good if your in a warm environment.

Are there any internal pockets or are ther only those that I can see on the outside?  (If you dont' carry much it won't matter)

Does it have any padding in the back.  If (and thats a big if) I sit for too long against a tree, I'm usually wishing I had a newer vest with heavy duty padding on the back.

I would look around for price.  I thought I could remember seeing them for 49.99 somewhere, but maybe that was on clearance last year.

Thanks for the reply.  I cannot tell if there is a back pad, but it would be nice if there was!  I don't carry a ton of stuff, my pocket inventory is:

-friction call
-crow call
-gloves
-flashlight
-dip
-shells
-snacks

I think the vest should have enough room to stop me from having noisey pockets.  Hopefully it holds up well.

TURKEYWHACKER

I have been using one of these for about 3 years now and like it alot. Has loops for strikers on the call pocket and a big enough pouch to hold my boat paddle box call. Spacious game bag holds 3 dekes, a couple waters and a roll up ground blind with ease. Mine does not have any back pad but maybe a newer model does. Enough room for all my gear and I would recommend this vest. :icon_thumright:

Perfect, thank you!  I just ordered it.

TURKEYWHACKER

Just was restocking my vest with water and granola bars for the morning and realized it does have a small back cushion. Enjoy your new vest. :you_rock:

Just wanted to let the guys that helped to tell me with this vest know that I got it in today.  Looks excellent, and well made.  Great pockets with a great pad for the tookie.  The vest fits right in with the rest of my natgear, I am really pleased so far.

We'll see at the end of April when I can get it into the woods for some hunting.  I CAN'T WAIT!!!

Do those pockets in the front have any type of divider in them?? I don`t want stuff banging against each other in the pocket.

I am away from the vest now, but I don't think so.  There are two pockets on the inside and two on the out side.  Both sides have these pockets.  There is also a pot call pouch and a slot for the striker.

You can isolate things by putting them in different places I suppose.
