crazy combination suggestions

So I want to try something totally different and unique to try and have a different sound in the woods. What are some combination that would be cool to go out on a limb and try?

     Paddle call.......Persimmon over mineral stained poplar.....

Sassafras over eastern red cedar makes a unique combination in both long and short boxes. Not very sexy but sounds good!
