I've been out 4 times this month and have not been disappointed....gobbling good and seeing a bunch of birds and it's only March. It's going to be an excellent season.
I like my turkey well peppered

Hope you're right because if yours is good, ours will be too.

We sure had an easy enough (actually none at all) winter in my neck of the Keystone............ Hardly any snow, no ice at all and only a few overnight lows below zero.

The local bird population has been slowly but steadily declining here for about 20 years.  But this spring winter mortality should be a non-issue.
PA elitist since 1979

The good Lord ain't made a gobbler I can't kill.  I just gotta be there at the right time.....  on the day he wants to die.

And considering our Season don't open for another month and half, I would personally not want to see that yet.

Just my opinion, as our Season seems late to begin with and the last 2 weeks of our Season normally suck for the most part? Sure, one can kill a gobbler anytime during the Season, but with this warm Winter, just hate to see them get any kind of jump on the Season. Breeding is mainly triggered by the timing of the Season, but warmer than normal temps don't help and can make for a very dead last 2 weeks of the Season.

Well, you can't control Mother Nature so who knows....Lots of birds where I'm at or at least I'm seeing more than past years. I think it's going to be a good year. I like hunting end of season, less guys in the woods and always seem to be few lonely Toms out there looking for a girlfriend.
