Starting your seasons early

See some guys post about taking out their kids., it's awesome! Youth hunts give the kids a great chance at unmolested birds n mentors with only them on their mind.
Many guys have never taken a kid, if you don't have one or yours are too young/old than go find one. Sure most guys that've done it will tell you it's as rewarding for them as the kids. Great memories that'll last a lifetime. Hey n don't forget the little girls

I love taking out youths. Seeing the look on their faces when they hear that first gobble and seeing that gobbler is priceless. Absolutely love it

I agree among a kid out is fun and.rewarding, i have taken a few. But it doesn't have to be a kid, you can extaed or add to your season by taking a novice. I helped one guy get his first turkey and it was great fun for both of us. He was 59 at the time. Now he is over 70 and still turkey hunts several states every season. Hes got the bug bad.

Will be helping my nephew this spring hopefully get his first. The nephew is 30.

Take a kid every year, this will be the third year in a row for a good friends boy, i think I will find new blood after this year, it is a tough call but I feel like I would like to get a first time hunter out.

Took my buddies cousin last year. Great hunt. Probably my most memorable hunt of the year. He smoked a jake but was as happy as could be.

the man who taught me to turkey hunt is big on getting kids out to hunt, every year he takes kids, novice/new hunters, and does a weekend vet hunt with a local gun club. I've picked it up from him and every year try and take at least 1 kid, 1 new hunter, and participate in the same wounded warrior hunt that he does. Some of my most memorable hunts had those people behind the gun and not myself. In fact between taking kids, friends, my dad, my wife, her grandfather, and vets I get an average of 4 days to hunt for myself each year and it never bothers me one bit its actually my favorite part of turkey hunting how conducive it is to do in pairs calling for someone else.
