I agree with Crutch.  We find em in our Ohio woods on shaded, mossy slopes and around deadfalls that are out of direct sunlight.  They are mighty tasty.  If you gather them in a perferated sack, they will release spores as you walk, and its not uncommon to find alot more in a few days where you had just been!

WOW...U GOT ALOT OF THEM.. I HAVENT WENT SHOOM HUNTIN FOR AWHILE.. USE TO GO WITH BROTHER IN LAW AND HE ALWAYS KNEW THE SPOTS TO GET THEM.. I WISH I COULD COME OVER TO SAMSPLE SOME.. ANYWAY GREAT FIND AND ENJOY THESE TONIGHT :icon_thumright: :icon_thumright: :icon_thumright: :icon_thumright:

i find some and do not like them. i sell all that i find. think i sold around 30 pounds last year.... still a couple weeks til they will be up in my spots.
