Picked up a Benelli Ultralight 20 ga with 26" barrel for pheasant and quail this year. Absolutely a fantastic upland gun!!! Absolutely hammered late season roosters. Decided to attempt to trick it out for turkey. Had a swivel mount placed on the butt stock. Picked up a new fore end cap with a swivel mount from Brownells. Slapped a Sumtoy .562-5 Crio Plus choke in it. Applied the Mossy Oak Bottomland graphics on it and slapped a TRU-GLO Pro Magnum gobble Dot as the rear sight and a Gobble Dot Extreme on the front sight. Added a Black claw sling. Then the patterning began. Shot Federal HW #7s, 20 ga, 3", 1 1/2 oz loads.
The high was 201 at a tape measured 40 yards in the 10" ring. Six total shots averaged 187 in the 10"circle at 40 yards. I also liked the pattern from 20 on out through 35 yards. A bit tight at 15, but then it's on me.
Also shot a Trulock HW #7 .565 Crio Plus choke and averaged 154. Both chokes performed very well in this gun with Fed HW #7s.
