Hopefully the picture comes through. We have gotten a lot of rain in Louisiana over the last day or so. It's crazy, I've never seen this much water fall in such a short period of time. The picture is of Toledo Bend, with all 9 gates open. They claim that there is more water, and force coming out than Niagra Falls. Also Sabine River Authority said you could feel the leeve vibarating. Several mandatory evacuations. Hopefully everyone is ok.

This is two of our water pumps on a job. This was about an hour or so after noticing the water was starting to come up. The guys didn't have enough time to remove them. It came up to the fenders (2.5'-3') within 30 minutes. As of now I would imagine they are completely under water, but there's nothing we could have done to prevent it. This picture is in Coushata, which is North Louisiana. Hopefully we can go in tomorrow to check out the damage, but I doubt it.

Dang! Hope it improves soon.  Stay safe down there!!!

I live about 50 miles from that dam and it's been a wet week.  My town skated a bit, only got 7.5" instead of the 10-12 the predicted in the past two days.  Wish I wasn't working 12 hour days, I'd go see that.

What town do you live in? We had kids kayaking up and down what is normally dirt roads here.

I live in Huntington, near Sam Rayburn Lake.

I'm on the outside edge of Vernon  parish is why I asked. It's about that far from me.

Spitten and drummen

Monroe and ruston really got hammered. reported that this is the worst flooding for them ever that is on record. its a bad deal because most of them over there don't have any kind of flood insurance. my wife has family and property over there. she is worried sick. just ask everyone to send a little prayer their way.

We've received 15"+ in the Baton Rouge area.  I got home around 5:30 last night.  Rained almost nonstop til 7 this morning.  Pretty heavy too.  Some areas have received upwards of 20".
