I have a Charles Daly 20ga. pump with a 26" barrel that I would like to use this year for turkey hunting. I don't have a lot of experience when it comes to turkey hunting but enjoy just getting out and going. I shot it the other day to see how it would pattern @ 30yds using Hevi13 magnum blend thru a tru-glo gobble stopper choke. It put 149 pellets on a 8.5 x 11" sheet of paper and 89 pellets in a 6" circle. Is this going to be sufficient enough for hunting or should I try to figure out another set up? Thanks for any help!

Shoot a bigger piece of paper at 40 and measure a 10 in. circle. There is a sticky at the top of turkey gun forum that should help you out. Good luck

Sounds like you have a good performer, I would shoot it at 40 just to see how it does. Regular notebook paper makes fine targets, just put it on a larger piece of cardboard to see where the pellets are going.
