I hunted Florida a few years. You need a good set of water proof boots, lots of bug spray ( take a bath in it, good thing turkeys dont smell well) There are lots of snakes there, I ran into pigmy rattlers alot, but they are really not agressive. You will need an elevated turkey seat, lots of times the ground is wet. One cool trick I learned is there are alot of palmetto bushes, you can cut several of them in an angle and shove them in the ground. Wala instant ground blind. Another thing I noticed, the Toms are not very vocal once off the roost. Ive had them just sneak in on several hunts and have the gun resting in my lap. Its been years since I was there, but I remember how peaceful the Floida swamps and Oak Groves were. Good Luck.
