I have the FFIII on a 20 gauge Benelli and it has performed flawlessly.  Two complete seasons with it and have not changed the battery yet and I do a lot of turkey hunting.  I lost the rain cover this year mid season and called Burris, they sent me a new one and I had it in 3 days NO charge!
It has held zero very well and I am glad I spent the money on it to date as I have had women and youth both shoot this gun and it has definitely been an asset.
I am not a fan of Burris scopes (especially in low light) but I will give them a  :icon_thumright: on the FFIII!

Apologizing:  does not always mean you are wrong and the other person is right.
It just means that you value your relationship more than your ego.

Fastfire III is great!! 5 for 5 with it!  The only thing I don't like, its hard to turn on and off, they should have made the switch a little bit longer..

I've never had 1 issue with any of my FF's. Have several of each on several turkey guns. Their customer service has always been top-notch for me. I don't know about why they are not on the forum anymore, nor do I care. Bottom line is that they are rugged, increase accuracy and have a warranty (if registered properly). I have zero complaints and they have helped me and performed flawlessly. Thinking back.... The only issue I have ever had was snow, it was 1 time and it was my fault.

Exactly!  I have the same issue, but I think the opening for it on the protector mount just isn't big enough.

For those that used the 336 mount, did you use the rubber gasket that came with it or did you put the sight directly in contact with the base?

I used the rubber gasket. I figured better safe than sorry.

Burris isn't very reliable period

I think you or Shannon should expound on that rather than just leave us hanging. Burris supported this site as long as I've been here, their CS has been excellent every time I've and buddies have had to use it. And their product is rock solid, between my buddies and I we have @ 20.........don't think we would have purchased that many without checking it out. Sounds to me you either have a personal vendetta or either old Burris got tired of pumping out free FF's for a contest.
