Scratchbox mania continues..#5!!

Friday morning found me without rain for a change and a crisp clear day, It started of with 5 gobbling birds 3 of which i new were Jakes, I sat up close within 50 yards and the Gobblers were on the hill above around 100 yards or so...After numerous gobbles the jakes flew down and worked there way down the ridge, It had been a while since the big boys gobbled and I heard one way up the ridge from me...After sitting and shaking my head awhile i decided to pick up and go after them.  I grabbed my DSD hen and started that way...Then BOOM 2 Gobbles...seems as if the ole boys were still up there, so I ran back to my spot set up decoy...and hit a few soft clucks and purrs with the scratcher,,,BOOM   again!!! closer... one more yelp and I see heads coming down the ridge...2 big boys stepped out put on a little show and then it was time to ground check one!  #5 with the scatchbox...what a year so far..Headed to OHIO in 1 week!!
