I'll be hunting the last weekend of the MS season next weekend.

I like to use my strutter but didn't know I'd that was more an early season orate season tactic?

I also have jake and hen.

In my expereince strutters work the best earlier in the season. But i have killed birds last week of season up here over my strutter decoy. To play it safe id set out a hen and jake but bring the strutter along just in case. If you have a gobbler or two that constantly has hens with them, jake and hen would be the way to go. But,later in the season once most of the breeding activity subsides gobblers will be found in groups. If you see a group of gobblers that are hen-less and arent responding to calling, a strutter decoy can be deadly on these birds. Those type of birds can be tough but they'll usually come to investigate or beat up on the new guy in town(your strutter decoy).

I like just a single upright hen. Nothing else.

Agreed.  Hen dekes only during late season.

In late season I would go with a jake and hen decoy
